These days most watches are digital, even if they look analog. Pure mechanical watches are expensive antiquities only available in higher-end stores. In this project paper, I explore why that is. The intricacies of mechanical watch timekeeping are beautiful.
This was my first extensive practice with LaTeX. I love it and will probably not revert to Word or Google Docs so long as I am not lazy. The formatting and equations are simply too clean. In my opinion, documents in LaTeX are inherently more trustworthy than others. It’s kind of like how a British accent automatically makes what you say sound smarter. All Free-Body-Diagrams were drawn using AutoCAD. I appreciated the opportunity to practice.
